I came across U4GM selling Battlefield 6 bot lobbies and it’s got me thinking about how this will affect competitive gameplay. On one hand, I get that some players just want an easy experience to level up, get those unlocks, or work on tactics without the stress of PvP. But on the other hand, this could significantly affect the player base and matchmaking.
When you throw bots into the mix, the dynamics of the game shift. Bots don’t offer the same strategic challenge as human players, and I’m not sure how this will impact the overall experience of playing Battlefield. It’s already hard enough to find good teammates sometimes, let alone to be in a match with people who are just farming stats in bot lobbies.
From the competitive angle, this feels like a slippery slope. If bot lobbies become more popular, will we see a rise in players who have no real skill because they spent their time grinding in these controlled environments instead of going up against actual opponents? I hope developers take a hard look at this before it becomes a mainstream method for grinding in the game.
Thoughts? Should bot lobbies be reserved for training or testing, or is selling them just a money grab that weakens the competitive integrity of the game?
